Thanks Al, my outlook on the winter just picked up again, what a roller coaster ride.

This is why Frank and Sroc always say stop getting emotionally involved with every model run, it can drive you nuts.

li still snowing  at 03 sunday. final snow totals some places in Hudson valley and s/w conn get close to a foot.

I think these probabilities from nws say a lot look and judge for yourself..

Hey guys wow, looking like more snow, but I fear at least .1-.2 is ice, NWS upton mentions this in their discussion this morning which I posted so those totals may be too high by a inch or two. But heres hoping we get over 6 so we can see a nice wsw finally lol.

Yikes a rama! some places see as high as .5-.75 frz if that verified it would be terrible even u and I al see near or over .25

the ice starts at hr 21 and ends at hr. 27, that's 6 hrs of freezing rain, trending more and more toward an ice storm, wouldn't be surprised to see some places get ice storm warnings.

Idk Jman, my gut is telling me that with marginal temps at the surface, the fact that it is the end of January with a slightly higher sun angle, and the heavier rates of precipitation, there may be a short (i.e. 1-2 hours) period of ice, but I think that would be it. The conditions don't look all that supportive to me. Just my opinion, though.

I agree it say's there's more than a 50% chance that 90% of our area gets less than 4 inches.

Yeah I really have no idea, I was just going verbatim off the map I posted, you usually do not see something like that on any model runs in these parts.

12z significantly wetter than 06z, especially on western side

that's greater than not less than.

Location is the same, just off of A.C. but the backside differences are redonkulous......WAYYYY wetter on 12z

Pretty nice banding on the backside....

This was a much more classic-looking run-nice comma head appearance, nice backside banding. Warm run, though; 850s nudge above freezing for a short while even into parts of NEPA. Overall, I think this looked way better than the previous run with regard to precipitation.
