Re: July 2015 Observations & Discussions
A few showers have passed NNJ, amazing how the line of precip was next to nothing and exploded in Yonkers and S. CT and is moving across the sound to the north shore...

A very short-lived heatwave for the next two days then back to seasonable temps with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the sixties and comfortable dew point. We're almost through July great summer so far

Re: July 2015 Observations & Discussions
Madonne I'm returning to freaking rainforest. Unbelievable what humidity can do to your weather. In Italy, the air is dry so temps in the 90s do not feel as bad. You can walk without feeling like your dying a slow death. Heres the advisory...
HEAT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 PM EDT
MONDAY...
* MAXIMUM HEAT INDEX VALUES...102 TO 107 THIS AFTERNOON AND
MONDAY AFTERNOON.
* TEMPERATURES...MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES IN THE MIDDLE 90S TODAY AND
MONDAY. THERE SHOULD BE LITTLE RELIEF TONIGHT WITH MINIMUM
TEMPERATURES ONLY IN THE MIDDLE AND UPPER 70S.
* IMPACT...THE EXCESSIVE HEAT AND HUMIDITY WILL BECOME A DANGER
IF PROPER PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
Anyway, glad to be back. If you're friends with me on Facebook then you can see all the pics I posted. Heres my favorite one of the beach I went to everyday in a city called Tropea.

92.1 degrees, 60% humidity.Yeah, it's hot!
We've been lucky, this has been rare this summer. We've gotten summers with 10 or 15 days straight 90 or above.

Re: July 2015 Observations & Discussions
Not as bad as I thought it would feel, 50% humidity and about 97° (still having issues with my weather station) and an occasional breeze. If I had a cold drink in my hand and was sitting in the shade, I think it would be manageable.

Yep, just had a glass of vino and a cigar on the deck with the umbrella up.Humidity only 52% here so the 94 degree heat is bearable. Many people hate this weather, but I enjoy the heat in the summer.
Radar shows t storms popping up in EPA and WNY. Guess they will dissipate when they reach here as has been the case all summer.T Storm warnings W and NW of us on NWS.

The severe storms in ma and nh are nuts golf ball sized hail be reported in most one cell in ma I've never seen such dark shading on radar. Thanks for the welcome back guys!
Tomorrow is another hot and humid day, but it looks like it will "cool" back into the 80's by the end of the week.
