Be careful with that. the 20 inch mark is just about over my house and I'm 50 miles due north of Manhattan. There can be a big difference in those 50 miles. Hope you're right though I'd love to see everyone cash in within reason of course

NYC is very close to mixing on the GEM. Would more than likely lean toward the RGEM handling of the surface than the GEM's. I still think many people may have p-type issues along the coastal plain for at least some time with this system.SoulSingMG wrote:CMC and GFS duet!

Jersey Shore (Monmouth and Ocean): generally 6”-10” with sleet and rain likely to mix in. Similar situation on Long Island I think.
Great write up, Thanks! Could you, or anyone else, answer this question:
What does 6-10" mean?
A. Amount of snow on the ground at the end of storm. This is the 'Take Home' Snowfall.
B. Amount of snow that falls throughout the entire storm, including some that is washed away from the rain. The 'Take Home' Snowfall amount will be lower than this.
C. It's not as simple as just A or B.
Insert A or B or C here: _________.
Thank you!!

I wonder if he'll call it the biggest storm ever? Forgetting of course NYC received 27-34 inches last Januarys storm.

Mostly B. You will need to get out and measure as soon as you change over, esp if it looks like it will rain for awhile. Measure totals for snow and sleet.

Re: March 14, 2017 Roidzilla 1st Call Snow Map / Synopsis
Honestly, I am most excited about the wind potential along the coast than I am the highest accumulation possible. It's clear we're going to get a lot of snow. But what will make this storm special are the winds COMBINED with THOSE snowfall rates. I think it'll be more eye-popping to see than the blizzard in Jan of last year.

I still don't get why you use Franks Forum to promote your own thing all the time. And I've read your stuff and all you do is piggy back off of their knowledge. It doesn't seem right to me but if they have no problem with it so be it.
