Not for us but just to our west by about 7-10 miles there is accumulated snow happening, was just there.Dunnzoo wrote:.37" of rain, 34.9° and falling. Look like radar is weakening and won't be much left for any accumulation....

20.5 on the season and 9 days of snow cover so far. Pathetic.
OK, CP, that 2.6 looks spot on when I look out this morning.Maybe we can add an inch in the squalls that are supposed to come today.
Pathetic for sure, but when you look at your snow totals by your signature, not surprising. We were statistically due for a stinker year, especially after last years gravy train.I write this so Mother Nature will make a jerk out of me for saying this and we have a great February and March up here,LOL.

Re: Tracking 01-30 Arctic Front
Nada - another clunker for us here - friends in Western Passaic County measured 3-4"and had delayed openings today. Timing of the cold is everything or not this winter, just hours is the major difference between snow and cold for us and 25 - 35 miles N&W of NYC is the barrier this year.
Icy roads this morning. Town "dumped" salt on roads - some spots on the way to work where icy even with the salt. The parking lot and sidewalks were like an ice skating rink this morning.
Onto the squall lines this afternoon

Special Weather Statement by Mount Holly:
A narrow but solid line of heavy snow moving through central
Pennsylvania this morning is forecast to move into eastern
Pennsylvania and the far northern portions of the Delmarva around
noon, then into New Jersey during the afternoon hours. This line
of snow represents the leading edge of arctic air that will invade
the area later today through Friday. Snow squalls associated with
this line have a history of producing heavy and blowing snow for
periods of 10 to 15 minutes, resulting in a rapid reduction of
visibility, along with wind gusts in the range of 30 to 50 MPH and
a quick coating to around an inch of snow accumulation. Motorists
are urged to use caution if encountering any of these squalls
from late this morning through the afternoon.

Oh, can't see it? Here's a closer look:

Still, can't see any snow...Ummm, this is as close up as an iPhone 5 can get:

Stay in your weather room,it's bringing you good luck.
Greybeard, can I cheer you up with a story of how I had over 50 inches of snow last year, after March 1 st.![]()

Sorry I had to say it just one more time, it's out of my system now, just hope it's not to late to bring on winter before March 1.
Lol CP, that did cheer me up. I'm glad to hear you have gotten it out of your system. You really should take that ride upstate to experience those lake effect snows. I think for you it would be like going to a spa, you would come back rejuvenated and feeling like a new man.

I'm with you on the hope that the tail end of winter is productive for us all.

Yes for them it might be, for us I'm expecting it to fall apart like the government in a third rate socialist dictatorship, in an oil rich South American country. Wonder who I'm referring to.

The line is pretty ragged nothing like the models showed. And there's nothing headed toward most of our area.

Re: Tracking 01-30 Arctic Front
Well for whatever reason busses cancelled today and tomorrow so I got to come home at 12 today. As of now we are going in tomorrow cuz some parents may drop their kids off. -15 may be enough to cause a delay at least. Yes cp I know in the past even for me we never missed school cuz of bitter cold. But at least for the babies I work with i think its warranted their skin is very fragile.
