Under the persistent heavy rain here. Winds haven't kicked up yet but the rain is here. That tornado in Strathmere came onshore just about a mile or so north of the shorehouse I stay at.

Tornado Warning for parts of Ocean, Atlantic and Burlington Counties in NJ until 10:45am. Take cover! #njwx

Rain has filled in across most of NJ, except the Cape May shore which still has severe cells periodically rolling onshore.

Quick question - why whenever I try to post a jpg or png image it doesn't show from the site? ANYONE? And radar scope is locked into Jan 23 2018 storm whenever I try to post it here?

Probably just had about a 50-60mph gust, but so far that’s been the highlight. Waiting to see what the rest of this band brings us.....

Don't think I've seen a storm move this fast on land, 36 mph? Wow. I remember when we got hit with a hurricane in Florida, the speed was 15 miles per hour and as soon as it hit us. It went down all the way to 3 to 5 miles per hour, what a nightmare. Look at the expected gusts for today and by midnight it some places the storm is well on it's way and gone for many areas.

That missed just to my SW! I’m actually in Beach Haven which is right at the right edge of that map.

Anyone in Jersey seeing the forecasted wind gusts? The Winfield is almost up to central nj.

Wind has picked up noticeably here.

Jman, I started getting heavy rain an hour ago but little wind. Just in the last few minutes the gusts started picking up. I can tell the winds are increasing because I can feel the house moving a bit for the first time today. Rain is really coming down now and starting to be wind blown.

Light rain, no wind yet up here in Monroe NY.Looks like the heavy rain right at my door though I am right on the cut off line.
