32 degrees, heavy snowing, sticking to everything approaching one inch

Mid levels crashed quite nicely. I expect areas of LI to get into the action too.  coating tpo an inch esp on non paved surfaces not out of the question.

Looks like 1/2 to 3/4 inches on colder surfaces.Nice to see steady snow falling.Moderate ATM.

A very cold rain in Central NJ…still showing 37 but it feels quite a bit colder.

Still light rain here in NYC (downtown Brooklyn to be exact).

Heavy snow ,1 inch OTG.

Wet flakes just mixing in to the rain here in Bloomfield.

Same here in edison, have some flakes mixing in with the rain. Nice to see some snow flakes, at this point any snow is a win of sorts

34 degrees still lightly snowing, finished with a solid 1 inch and a quarter

Like a switch it changed over and is now puking snow. Too wet to accumulate but nice to see.

It's been snowing all day since 8:30, approaching 2 inches here with moderate snow.Maybe an hour more from the radar.Nice to see a winter wonderland again.

Just about over here. Snowed from 8 o’clock this morning till 4 o’clock this afternoon and 1.3 inches total is all I get from it. Second biggest storm of the season. How pathetic is that?

It snowed here most of the day, from daybreak until at least 1 pm, which is when I went out. All precipitation had stopped by 4 pm when I arrived back home. Absolutely nothing accumulated at any time.

The futility of this winter is absolutely amazing.  I cannot get over 1/2" at a time and with marginal temps it's melted fairly quickly.  Feel like I'm in Raleigh, NC in these parts lately.

Mood flakes in Hillsborough, NJ earlier this afternoon but changed back to rain and ended. Wind howling and cold out now so it sounds and feels a bit like winter. Just can’t get it to look like  winter lol.

Got 1.5 inches of wet snow today. 6.5 for the season.

Here in Albany, I had some steady snow starting early Sunday evening going all through midday Monday. Ended up with 7”. This was at around 7:30 AM from my window:

A sight for more than sore eyes. I've yet to even see half a coating this season. I'm not sure it snowed in NYC yesterday - it was more like a period of moderate white rain before it lightened up and turned back to light cold rain.

0.000001" so far on the season.  

32 degrees, partly cloudy and calm winds.
Winter wonderland landscape back again after 1.75 inches fell from 8:30 AM to 4 PM.In this snow starved season, it was a nice day watching it.

We're running at about +10 AN temps for January. Probably +8.5 when all is said and done.  Incredible.

Unbelievable and I bet anything when we get into March April and May it’s going to be cold and below normal I am losing hope ready for this winter I mean who knows maybe February or March we will have one storm that will bring a huge snowstorm will it happen who knows

In more normal years, January and February are the big cold and snow months.Many years when I had my organic vegetable garden In Mahwah NJ, I would be able to plant the early stuff on St. Pats Day after the ground dried because all the snow fell in Jan-Feb. I hate cold and rainy April and May, just not right.

So as of today, Jan 25 i have close to 2 inches of Daffodils showing.....season total snowfall is at a dismal trace at best down here, lets go pattern change, let's go already!

I know I’ve been preaching pattern change in late Jan / early February time frame, but I’m having doubts now. Doesn’t seem like the Stratosphere is cooperating with us this year, and MJO forcing is confined to the western Pacific.

Goes to show…three straight years of La Niña = NOT GOOD
