Re: February 2019 Observations and Discussions
I can't take credit for this stat, this is as per Bluewave on another forum.
January 2019 is now the warmest NYC January since records have been kept to reach 2 degrees or lower. Most of the others had averages temperatures in the 20's.

Got down to 0.
Seasonal snowfall to date:
Red Sox Suck 2.8”
Providence 1.9”
Worcester MA 12.3”
That’s absolutely incredible for 2/1

Re: February 2019 Observations and Discussions
Got down to -3.5°.
Damian seems to be the winner the last couple of days with two -10° in a row.
Second morning in a row with double digit sub zero's in the 50 mile radius from NYC area. A good cold spell but nothing Earth shattering around here that we havn't seen almost every winter at least once.
The news media hysteria on this stuff is really over the top.

Re: February 2019 Observations and Discussions
4* for my low - incredible swath of snowlessness in the I95 corridor stretching about 200 miles from TTN to BASTAAN while so many areas are above and recording some extreme temps and wind chills.
Lets see what Feb bring after the warm miser rules our 5-6 day period starting Super Bowl Sunday - heck last Feb was an all out torch but as we know Big Momma has other ideas for March through early April.

17* cloudy calm.
Radar and sr models show something afoot down this way. But yet history and my gut say not to believe my eyes...strange.

If the heavier stuff comes up just by 10-15 miles, everyone from Skins (exit 90, maybe) on south ought to see at least see some decent mood flakeage.
Or not...who knows...lol

Curious if the radar is accurate, you should see the precip rate pick up here a good bit starting any minute...once again, Exit 80 at the northern fringe...

Re: February 2019 Observations and Discussions
I think it's the story of the winter at the Shore. You've been winning the battles at exit 65 and below and getting these 1-3" hits. But at exit 80, we're always too far north.

OK, if it's gonna happen imby it better start to happen...
Once again, the radar can show what it wants, the Sky is proving to be impotent...
(Bigger flakes did just start tho...)

Snowing...lightly, but snowing. Starting to stick, forecast now for an inch. That'll justify a hot chocolate party when the band of mutinous cretins get home.

SENJ bands do seem to be pulling a little very little bit more North. Good sign but such a small difference
