Snowing...lightly, but snowing. Starting to stick, forecast now for an inch. That'll justify a hot chocolate party when the band of mutinous cretins get home.

SENJ bands do seem to be pulling a little very little bit more North. Good sign but such a small difference

Re: February 2019 Observations and Discussions
Smitty, the good news is radar wise, we're gonna get hit for the next 2-3 hrs. Bad news is, the snowfall is sooo lite. It's just not coming down in the form of even moderate snow.
Just like the squall line the other day, right? Like every 'storm' we've had this year.
But, it is what it is...I'll enjoy this for whatever is and root on the next one!

A true Ocean County Special...low stakes, but still nice to be the center of attention. lol.
PS: Actually some snow cover now, so I'll stop the endless parade of radar pics and send on a few pics of the snow!

Keeps switching from light to mod back to light, but here's what's come down so far:
Projecting to 1"+. Would be tied for biggest snowfall of the season.

Glad to see you guys getting a little snow to add appropriate mood to the cold. Congrats! I see its snowing down where I go to the shore as well. Should have went there instead of to work today lol. Anyway 19* and mostly cloudy here. Did have a few stray flurries earlier.

Bill, I'm on the northern fringe. TWC has upped their call to 1-3", which would be GREAT, but that's the KOD actually...lol.
That first band already passed through so we'll see if anything else can come together here in the next few min before she scoots ots...
hrrr says yea, but too close to the fringe and too little precip i think...

Good for South Jersey today and hope you get at least 2 inches! I've been getting pixie dust all day. But at 15 degrees it actually coats quite nicely.

I'll be driving up the Parkway in about 50 min from exit 36 to exit 67 hopefully the parkway is good. Still snowing down here near Atlantic City....Over an 1" getting close to 2" I haven't been outside in the past 1/2hr, just window watching.

Re: February 2019 Observations and Discussions
snow has started to lighten a bit...i think at about 1.25" now, bringing seasonal total to about 4.5-5". Radar and the Nam suggests one more round may come thru...but I remain skeptical of course.
That said, it's been snowing since about 11:30 here...maybe the atmosphere is trying to tell us something

Dang! Round 3 incoming...this was supposed to stop at like 2 pm lol.
We aint gonna hit more than 2-3" but it's still been cool as all hell watching this play out right in front of me.
2-3" inches of snow today?? After 2-3" all winter prior to?? What?!?!?! ha ha ha
Weather is a fickle mistress, I'll tell ya'!

3.8° and dropping like a rock
It looks like tomorrow will mark the fourth consecutive calendar day of sub zero in the HV, and then the roof caves in and the Warmacists will have their way, again.

Re: February 2019 Observations and Discussions
8* surprised to break single digits again. And still buzzin' hard over a measley 2 inches yesterday...
It's all about perspective and expectations. If this 2" that fell imby was say the southern edge of a godzilla, I'd be out there with a bic lighter melting it myself out of disappointment and resentment. But when the same 2" is a straight up 2" surprise bonus which doubles yearly snow fall, it takes on a whole new feeling...
